Many of us move through life receiving conflicting messages: we're told we're too emotional, too sensitive, too needy, too loud, or too much, while somehow also feeling like we're not enough. After years of trying to edit ourselves to fit others' expectations, we can lose sight of who we really are. We become so focused on being who others need us to be that letting ourselves be fully seen can feel unfamiliar, vulnerable, and even scary. Therapy with me offers a space where you don't have to perform. A space where you get to just be.
I work with individuals 16+ who are navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, religious trauma, adult/late diagnosed ADHD, the lasting impact of shame, and the complicated ways our past continues to shape the present. Supporting people through grief is some of the most meaningful work I do, and I am continually honored to share space with individuals as they process loss, make meaning of their experiences, and find their way forward. As a queer therapist, I have a particular passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and provide an affirming space where every part of you is welcome.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in curiosity, connection, and a genuine desire to understand your experience. I don't believe our struggles happen in isolation. They develop within the context of our relationships, experiences, and the ways we've learned to navigate the world. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I'm more interested in asking, "What happened, and how did you learn to survive?" Therapy isn't about fixing who you are. It's about understanding yourself with greater compassion, discovering new possibilities, and creating a life that feels more like your own.
